VINEYARD ON THE GO

You might remember that our family spent two weekends ago in the Hamptons celebrating a dear friend's birthday and hanging out with our kiddies. Clearly, I'm still dreaming about the relaxation and fun times as I write on this busy Wednesday! On the way back into the City, we stopped at the Wolffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack. My husband and I haven't visited a vineyard in years, so this addition to our return trip was a real treat! We absolutely loved our wine-tasting (and, really, how could one not?!).

I happen to be a big fan of a cool glass of Rose' on a hot summer day. Throw in some well-crafted cheese platters and good company, and the scene is set for a perfect afternoon. Although the Wolffer Estate is just two hours out of New York, I felt like I was abroad in the South of France, sipping to my heart's content along the Mediterranean Sea! Not a bad way to finish off a stellar weekend, for sure. (And, like I said, I'm still lusting for a return!)

Not only was everything about the scenery beautiful and the drinks and eats tasty, but I got to wear one of my favorite black open-back maxi dresses. The chicly netted back is slightly revealing, yet tasteful, especially for a mama. And, since I paired the dress with flat sandals, the vibe was more classy casual than sexy. The dress also further enhanced the European feel of the day.

Ladies, it's hard to believe that September is just a few days away! Where did the summer go?! I know we'll all soon be sporting beanies and booties, but you better believe I'll still be reminiscing about summer vibes, backless maxis, and delicious Rose', especially if it hails from out east at the Wolffer Estate.
