HAPPY PANTS
September is here and fall is right around the corner (just two weeks away, can you believe it?!). There's no one who loves beanies and combat boots more than me. But, admittedly, there's something really beautiful about the carefree, relaxing atmosphere of summer - and the fashion that goes along with it. In fact, I find myself yearning for it all winter long!
To soak up these last few hot seconds of the summer season, I'm wearing lots of my whites and brights, in light airy materials that won't make it to cooler temps. Check out this look, recently warn out and about in the City.
The main focal point of the outfit is the white Otis & Maclain pleated palazzo pants. No matter if you're going on a dinner + Broadway show date with the hubby or running around all day from meeting to meeting, these pants up the chic and fashion. And, the summery aspect, of course, if worn in white as pictured here.
I paired the white gauchos with a relaxed feel light blue CP Shades button down. The top is so easy to throw on (and casual!), yet the tapered feel ups its fancy and pairs well with the more glamorous bottoms. On the flip side, the more casual top paired with the fancier bottoms also allows the look to transition between different settings, and be worn no matter the activity or day plan.
Then, onto the footwear! My Stuart Weitzman stilettos are my go-tos. I can't get enough of the cut and feel of these sandals, and have been beyond guilty of wearing them with everything, all summer '15. Oops! The light tan patent color matches every look, and either ups the fancy or is on par with it, no matter the outfit's pieces. Plus, a little extra few inches never hurt anybody, isn't that right?!
Accessories, accessories, accessories. By now you all know how much I love a good piece of Illesteva eyewear. These new shades, purchased at the Illesteva sample sale last month, are crazy futuristic and like nothing else I own (or have seen anywhere!). I really love it when I wear something that no one else has - the uniqueness of a piece or look is something I thrive on, and these were just that kind of purchase. Also, I LOVE the Soul Seeker necklace! The bag, too, a Santi, is super colorful and on-point for the season (and it's on SALE). And, best of all, I plan to easily transition both of these extras into the fall. Futuristics and florals are not only meant for heated temps. They'll up the edge and sweetness, respectively, of anything I choose to pair them with come September 21st!
Heading out now to a meeting, but I encourage all of you to keep wearing your summer staples and think of ways to keep them around even as the temperature dips! Happy holidays!
