LONG FLOWY DRESS
Friends and fellow mamas, I'm at 33 weeks now! We can't believe that in just eight weeks or so, our baby will be here! As I get deeper into the third trimester, I find myself falling in love with long, flowy dresses. They've been flattering my pregnancy shape to a T, are so comfortable to move around in, and carry with them the air and feel of summer (aka my favorite season, as you know).
This white buttoned-number, a new seasonal favorite of mine from Aritzia, is the sexiest pregnancy look I've sported, ever (including during pregnancies #1 & 2, when I was still in my late 20s!). For a final pregnancy -stretch mama, looking and feeling your best (let alone sexy!) is no easy task. This white oversized piece has buttons all the way down the front, allowing the wearer to adjust the openness and exposure to her liking. This look makes me feel good and fashionable, even though I'm considerably larger than I was when I last wrote to you all!
I chose to pair the piece de resistance with a Topshop denim jacket, lace-up Loeffler Randall heels, Illesteva throwback shades, a clutch, and tons of jewelry as per use.
Let's examine each piece of the outfit for a moment now, shall we?
The pictured Topshop denim jacket is super trendy and fun, with pre-sown decals stitched on throughout the denim. I was immediately drawn to this jacket (even though I have five more denim ones of various colors and sizes at home!) because of its uniqueness and vintage feel.
My black ankle lace-up/ open-toed/ skin-exposing Loeffler Randalls (purchased super discounted at a sample sale last summer in the City!) are a favorite of mine -- and not just because I scored a great deal on pricey kicks! They go with everything, flatter my legs and ankles, and are surprisingly comfortable to walk in - even while pregnant! Plus, I was able to match my black clutch and 90s-inspired choker to the shoes, too. Win-win, if you ask me!
Of course, I never leave home without a trusty pair of round shades - these, my 70s-style ones. The vibe that these shades brought to the outfit worked well with the flowy dress and decal-ed up denim. Add in a few bangles and some of my favorite rings, and you have yourself an outfit made.
You can take this look in any direction you want, given how versatile the main piece is. White is such a great color for summer - fresh, breezy, and matches everything! Would you rock this- pregnant or not?! I'd love to hear from the mamas reading this, across the world.
I'll be wearing long dresses from now until August, so get excited for some more fun looks coming from me to you!
