ALL BLACK EVERYTHING

It’s officially summer, and officially way too hot and humid in New York. It’s that time of year when everything is just sticky and sweaty, and the odors that make New York so special are way too strong. So the most important thing I think about when picking out an outfit in the morning is comfort. Especially since I’m 35 weeks pregnant! (Outfit aside, can we believe that I’m actually almost done?!?!) And its common knowledge at this point that dresses make the most comfortable, easy-going outfits.

Recently, I did a photoshoot for the Israeli maternity designer Avishag Arbel. You all know how I usually don’t wear maternity clothing, and just wear loser-fitted regular clothes during pregnancy, But I gave it a try to see I fall in love... All the dresses are styles that I would wear even when I’m not pregnant because they are just so great. The dress in this picture is amazing because of the soft fabric and the simple-but-chic print. I absolutely love it, and the fit is perfect for lasting throughout an entire pregnancy because its a little bit stretchy. So comfy and cute.

The second most important part of any summer outfit is a good hat. Hats have the power to amp up any look, and adding a hat to an outfit requires no effort at all. Bonus- they shade your skin from the sun, which prevents wrinkles and sun spots (which none of us need!). This black straw hat brings a little modern-country-boho vibe to the casual outfit, which I pulled together with a denim shirt (Thanks Noam!) around the waist. Simple accessories are key here, with my black tie choker and thick silver bangle. Less is always more with daytime jewelry!

These Toga Pulla booties have been featured in many posts from summer to winter to anything in between. They seriously go with everything! Does this outfit remind anyone else of July 4th, with the star prints and the blue denim shirt? Or maybe I need a good night sleep....

5 weeks (give or take) left, and I’m ready to meet this kid! It also means only a few weeks left of maternity outfits, haha. Stay tunes for the rest of my pregnancy looks!
